SCHOOLCHILDREN in the island
municipality of President Carlos P. Garcia and its islet, Gaus, now have better
places to stay and study after Rep. Erico Aristotle Aumentado (Bohol, 2nd
District) Friday inaugurated six more classrooms in two buildings.
His
father and namesake, the late Rep. Erico Boyles Aumentado of the same district,
had facilitated the release of the budget for the buildings to the Department
of Education (DepEd), implemented by the Department of Public Works and
Highways (DPWH).
The
younger solon received the symbolic key [see foto] for the P2.5-million
four-classroom one-storey building of the Campamanog Elementary School from Dr.
Wilfreda Bongalos, Bohol schools division superintendent who received it from
Engr. Domingo Lamoste. DepEd engineer.
In
turn, Aumentado turned it over to Jorge Honculada representing the Bohol
provincial government, and on to Pres. Garcia Vice Mayor Nestor Abad, Brgy.
Capt. Patricia Padillo and Engr. Samante Fullido, DepEd physical facilities
supervisor.
