REP. Erico Aristotle Aumentado
(Bohol, 2nd District) expressed elation over Getafe Councilor Antonio “Tonypet”
Ouano Jr.’s win in Friday’s presidential race of the Philippine Councilors
League (PCL) Bohol chapter.
The
elections at the Bohol Plaza Resort in Dauis town lasted past midnight with
Aumentado administering the oath of office to the winners at around 1:30 a.m.
The
solon said he finds “kinship” with Ouano as this is the first time that a
councilor from the 2nd district got the post that is also a ticket to a seat in
the Provincial Board. The PCL president is an ex-officio member of the
provincial lawmaking body.
Ouano
won 262-201 over incumbent Ramonito Torrefranca of Carmen for whom he waived
his interest in the PCL-Bohol presidency in 2010.
